Major news, Popmaniacs — singer/songwriter Rozes recently came to our office in sunny Santa Monica for an exclusive interview and it was legit the best afternoon ever! The babe stopped by to dish on everything from her brand new single “Canyons,” to what it’s like writing music with Louis Tomlinson! She even *hula hooped* for us… yep, we told you it was the best afternoon of our lives. While Rozes chilled with us, she shared her favorite memories from collaborating with The Chainsmokers — and we’re showing it to you! Here are the throwback studio secrets she dished:
ICMYI, Rozes and The Chainsmokers are super tight. They legit blew up the radio with their 2015 hit “Roses” — we’re still obsessed with that song! So obviously while Rozes was hanging out in our office, we had a million questions about the hit song.
Did you know that Rozes and The Chainsmokers didn’t intend to write the mega-hit that they did? The singer/songwriter told us that in the studio, it was just friends hanging out eating Chinese food and they just happened to make total music magic.
We died laughing when Rozes told us about the first time she heard “Roses” on the radio. TBH, Rozes is one of the most humble, down to earth artists we’ve ever met, and her story about freaking out over hearing herself on the radio makes total sense. Isn’t it obvious why we’re obsessed with her?
