Shadowhunters Season 3 Is Officially Coming — Here’s Why We Have No Chill

The Freeform show Shadowhunters was just announced to be coming back for a third season and we are too excited! The show is currently in the middle of its second season, but due to its popularity they have already greenlight the show for another season. In case you aren’t familiar with the show, we’ll give you a few reasons to get pumped:

The series is based on the Mortal Instruments novels. The fantasy drama tells the story of Clary Fray as she learns she’s not just a normal girl, she’s a human-angel hybrid called a Shadowhunter. When her mother is mysteriously abducted by rogue Shadowhunters, it is up to her and her new Shadowhunter friends to discover her newfound powers and use them to try and save her mom.

So far the first season and the first half of season two are out and we are totally obsessing. The show is full of action, drama and romance and we are loving all of the twists and turns it has taken! Shadowhunters season 3 will premiere in 2018, but thankfully we don’t have to wait that long in order to watch more new episodes. Season 2 will return for 10 more episodes on June 5.

The announcement about the third season was made by the cast themselves during a Q&A session via Facebook Live. The cast itself is super talented and has plenty of hotties you can totally fangirl over, like Dominic Sherwood and Matthew Daddario. We can’t wait to see these cuties in more episodes!

If you’ve already finished all the new episodes of Shadowhunters, Freeform has another amazing drama that came out this year. Beyond is about a man who woke up after being in a coma for 12 years. He discovers he has new abilities, but he also has to figure out what has happened in the last 12 years while he’s been sleeping. The show comes on right after Shadowhunters on Monday nights, so just in case you needed any more reasons to procrastinate doing your homework, here they are!
